José de La Cruz, a skilled artist of the early twentieth century, embarked on a complex journey through the world of art and exile. Forced to emigrate his homeland due to political turmoil, La Cruz found himself embracing new landscapes both physical and artistic. In his works, he documented the complex feelings of displacement and longing, while
